The bilateral trade data consists of total exports, imports, trade under the GSP provisions and trade under newly-added AGOA categories, for each industry grouping (see notes to the data below).


Angola , Benin , Botswana , Burkina Faso, Burundi , Cameroon , Cape Verde Islands , Chad , Comores, Congo , Djibouti , Ethiopia , Gabon , Gambia , Ghana , Guinea , Guinea Bissau , Kenya , Lesotho , Liberia, Madagascar , Malawi , Mali , Mauritius , Mozambique , Namibia , Niger , Nigeria, Rwanda , Sao Tome and Principe , Senegal , Seychelles , Sierra Leone , South Africa , Swaziland , Tanzania , Togo, Uganda , Zambia




Similar disaggregated data is available on a regional basis in the following configurations:


BNLS
:
Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Swaziland (in effect the countries belonging to SACU - the Southern African Customs Union - excluding South Africa);


CEMAC:
Chad, Republic of Congo (Brazaville), Cameroon and Gabon (making up the AGOA beneficiary countries of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa;


COMESA:
Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa - includes COMESA AGOA beneficiaries Angola, Burundi, DR Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Swaziland, Uganda and Zambia (excludes non-AGOA COMESA countries Comoros, Eritrea, Lybia, Egypt, Sudan and Zimbabwe)


ECOWAS
:
Economic Community of West African States countries (excluding Cote d'Ivoire and Liberia which are not AGOA benficiaries);


SACU
:
Southern African Customs Union countries comprising South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland and


SADC
:
Southern African Development Community, excluding Zimbabwe which is not an AGOA beneficiary.

The trade profiles above provide disaggregated trade data (of trade between each AGOA-eligible country and the U.S.), including imports and exports over the past 3 years, and the latest available data for the current year. The trade data is grouped according to the following product sections:

  • 3. 'Chemicals and related products',

  • 4. 'Energy-related products',

  • 5. 'Textiles and apparel',

  • 6. 'Footwear',

  • 7. 'Minerals and metals',

  • 8. 'Machinery',

  • 9. 'Transportation equipment',

  • 10. 'Electronic products',

  • 11. 'Miscellaneous manufactures' and

  • 12. 'Special provisions'.
